CARE & WARRANTY
We care about our products and we hope you will too as you welcome each piece into your home or workplace. Follow these simple steps so you can enjoy your product for years to come...
CARING FOR WOOD
Wood is a natural material with grain detail, colour and finishes subject to variation. It is a natural quality of wood for movement to occur - especially in warmer climates and in environments where temperatures change frequently from hot to cold, such as in front of air conditioning. In light of this, we ask that you choose carefully the location for the product and be aware that environmental factors will have an effect on your furniture. For longevity of the piece we recommend keeping out of direct/reflective sunlight as well as keeping out of contact with moisture/liquid. Furniture should be placed where it is protected from outdoor elements (unless advertised as outdoor furniture).
Regularly wipe down with a soft, dry cloth (preferably microfibre) to remove dust and dirt.
Do not wet down or leave spills to sit on the timber surface.
Take care when placing unglazed ceramics as they may scratch the surface.
If a spill occurs - wipe up immediately with a damp cloth, followed by a dry cloth to remove any excess moisture.
Do not place hot and cold items directly on the surface. We recommend using coasters and heat matts to avoid any permanent marks on the surface.
Do not use any other cleaners or polishes as they may cause permanent damage.
Please note: liquids containing alcohol (e.g. nail polish, paints) cannot be removed.
CARING FOR METAL
Regularly wipe down the metal surface with a polishing cloth to keep the surface looking fresh.
Only use soft polishing cloths to clean and maintain. Harsh cloths will scratch and dull the surface. Additionally, when wiping down the surface use straight back and forth movements, rather than circles, to help maintain a uniform appearance.
Keep metal dry to prevent tarnishing which can dull or destroy the surface.
Do not use abrasive cleaners.
CARING FOR UPHOLSTERY
- Regularly remove dust and dirt from leather and fabric covered furniture.
- Vacuum fabric upholstered items frequently. Make sure to use the soft brush vacuum nozzle when cleaning. Occasional use of a lint remover is recommended on any fabric covered upholstery to remove fuzz that may develop with use.
- Always protect leather and fabric from direct sunlight and never place near heat sources such as fireplaces and radiators.
CARING FOR UPHOLSTERY
Our cushion covers are made locally. We recommend regularly rotating cushions to maintain their shape, however it is only natural that overtime the cushion inserts will soften for a more relaxed look and feel. Our cushion covers are not machine washable. If spills take place, spot-clean with a damp cloth (or warm soapy water if required) followed by a dry cloth to remove any excess moisture and leave to dry flat in the shade.
